On Monday, Mark Chow who is a model and actor ,claimed to molesting a 27-year-old woman in a pub more than 2 years ago.

Mark Chow, whose real name is Mark Chow Yee Sze, 29, is accused of molesting the woman in the office of the pub in the central area on Jan 10, 2007.

His last minute attempt to compound the offence at the start of his three-day trial was opposed by Deputy Public Prosecutor Adrian Loo on public interest grounds.

The Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) said Mark Chow, represented by Mr Alan Moh and Mr Zaminder Singh Gill, had not indicated earlier that he wanted to make the composition offer even though the case had been going on for a year. District Judge Sarjit Singh rejected the application to compound the offence.

The first witness was the pub owner who is 38-year-old, told that the victim, then an operations manager, reported to him that she was molested while she was resting in the third floor office.
