On Wednesday Evening, Oct 7 Kollywood stars went on a protest meet as planned against a Tamil newspaper for publishing a report that that hurt the sentiments of some actresses.

All speakers including Rajinikanth expressed their anger at such scurrilous writing. They wanted to take preventive measures against such writings in future.

The meeting hosted by Nadigar Sangam chief Sarath Kumar was attended by all top stars like Rajinikanth, Vijaykanth, Sathyaraj, Radha Ravi actresses Sripriya, Seetha, Nalini, Radhika and others.

Meanwhile due to intense pressure from Kollywood, police arrested Lenin, the news editor of the daily 'Dina Malar' on the basis of a complaint filed by Nadigar Sangam. The cops said that action would be taken against the journalist after consulting legal experts.
