At Vellore Prison, Nalini Sriharan has ended her 2-day long indefinite fast

She has been serving a life term in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. Nalini has been demanding her premature release.

Acco. to the Report, Nalini Murugan alias Sriharan had filed a revised petition before the Madras High Court seeking her premature release.

The court had ordered the government to constitute a new advisory committee to consider her release.

Nalini Sriharan broke her fast this morning after the prison officials prevailed upon her to do so and assured her that her plea would be considered as per law, jail authorities said.

However, the committee has not yet been formed and in turn Nalini decided to go on an indefinite hunger strike.
