Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) chief Panakkakad Muhammadali Shihab Thangal died here tonight on 1 August 2009
A central figure in Kerala politics for the last three decades, Thangal (73) died at a private hospital in Malappuram, IUML sources said.
Thangal had been under treatment for diabetes.
