
The former National Intelligence Director, Mike McConnell says, “Saad Bin Laden just traveled to Pakistan last year, after having spent a couple of years under Iranian house arrest.”
A senior United States counterterrorism official says, “Though it is difficult to make sure without having the body to testify for DNA confirmation, however, U.S. spy agencies are 80 to 85% certain for the death of Saad Bin Laden.” He also says, “Actually, Saad Bin Laden was not targeted and was also not so important to had targeted personally, he was in fact at a wrong place at the wrong time.”
According to the U.S. officials reports, “Saad Bin Laden was surely active but not the major player in Al-Qaida.” He was reportedly in his late 20s.
It is unclear whether ‘Osama bin Laden’, the father of ‘Saad Bin Laden’ was nearby or not when his son died.
